Thrive women’s grants

Women helping women

What we do

Do you live in Tasmania and identify as a woman or non-binary and have a great idea for a project or need assistance to study or find employment but just can’t find the money? Have a look at the Thrive Women’s Grants and see if it works for you.

Thrive Women’s Grants has been established to provide grants up to $5000 for projects mostly undertaken in Tasmania, Australia. We look for projects that find it difficult to access funding or where a service is lacking. We are particularly interested in helping to fund indigenous projects, arts and culture, asylum seekers and refugees, and community development in general.

Thrive is simple. The application form is straightforward and short, but we do ask for a one page final report. Funding decisions will be made very promptly. Please include your best itemised estimate of your costs. Requests for the maximum amount must be convincingly justified. If we are interested, we will probably want to meet to discuss it – but we don’t want to take up any more of anyone’s time than is necessary.

So, if you want a small amount of money for something worthwhile and you don’t want to spend the next week applying for it, give this a try! If it doesn’t seem to be for you, you could also try the 2A4 Small Grants Scheme at 2a4.org or Bellendena Small Grants at bellendenagrants.org.
